Tan Mom

63 New York area tanning salons have banned a 44 year old mom from entering their stores. They say she is giving their industry a bad name. She was accused of taking her 5 year old daughter to a tanning session. The woman says that her daughter got sunburned while gardening on a hot day. A rash on the little girl was noticed by a school nurse, who notified child services. It resulted in the little girl being placed in her father's care, while the woman was taken into custody. Her picture has been posted behind the counter in eight local tanning salons to help employees identify her to immediately prevent her from using the facility. City Tropics Tanning Salon where she took her daughter, has not banned her yet. Patricia Krentcil “Tan Mom” could face up to 10 years in prison if she's convicted of child endangerment.
